Lucy is a deeply loving, intense and "fire in her belly" girl. She's dynamite in every way and represents in my mind the drive that is the essence of a PWD. Lucy was bred by Bill and Janet Danford-Comer and I owe her so much. Her energy is what motivated us to explore performance as Lucy's very existence has simply required us to do things.
I'll never forget her first agility lesson. I was listening to the instructor and Lucy was in a sit at my side, the next thing we knew, Lucy was on top of the A Frame at maximum height and seeing what a great view it gave her, she proceeded to do a few 180's before coming down, just checking out the neighborhood. Nothing with her is a big deal.
Lucy recently gave birth to her third litter, she currently has 10 puppies - 4 girls and 6 boys. She has proven herself in every way with 6 titles to her name (Confirmation, Rally, Water and Agility). Three of her puppies from her first litter went to Nationals and placed in every class they entered, with Addy winning the Sweeps and placing second in the Futurity; Raz was third in the Futurity and recently finished his AKC Championship at 11 months.  Ms B is like her mother, tightly focused on performance and won her Junior Water Certificate at the PWD National Specialty this year. Another Lucy puppy, Brisa took Best of Opposite both days in Newnan, GA.
Lucy's favorite vet recently called her "the machine" she does everything well, especially mothering. She is simply the best of moms, keeping watch over, cleaning and feeding her babies with total dedication. We smile as she usually comes and takes one of our hands to sit with her at feeding time, seems she thinks it's a family affair.
